Is such a section for "Events" on this page really necessary? And if yes, which events would you include here and which not, you certainly cannot add every single occasion here, can you? So where would you draw the line? And I would suggest to move the section to the end of the page. Johannes003 (talk) 20:02, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I wasn't sure about the inclusion either, but the page has to be comprehensive and needs to be about the industry as a whole rather than about just films released (hence I introduced Top lists, deaths in 2009). I'm split on it, I'm willing to remove it, providing there could be a summary of events of some sort each month, as the table format is indeed quite an eyesore.
