Intro

edit

This article is being created to replace Category:Peel Sessions artists as mandated by the outcome of the CFD for the category. It is a large list and it will require more than eight seconds to get into shape. Otto4711 16:27, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thx. -- Grigorowitsch (talk) 14:42, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Non-Wikipedia Entry Bands

edit

I notice that all of these bands have a Wikipedia Entry, so surely there must be more artists who don't who have recorded sessions? CAn anyone add any more to the list? JimHxn 18:42, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, shitloads: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/johnpeel/artists/a/ We just need a kind volunteer to wade in and list 'em... Flowerparty 17:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I've been through the list and added all the bands that have recorded sessions. A couple of bands/artists have been removed as they only had entries in the Festive 50 rather than actually recording a session. (MuteJoe 19:51, 16 September 2007 (UTC))Reply

Non-Peel

edit

The lads Kershaw and Lamacq also had a lot of interesting bands on their shows - any plans to index those performances? Drutt (talk) 22:44, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

MuteJoe

edit

Wow. Last time I checked this article it didn't have all/most of the session dates. Cheers for the good work. dfg (talk) 20:53, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Huge respect and thanks to MuteJoe! What a great job! Johnny "ThunderPeel2001" Walker (talk) 14:12, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Capitalisation

edit

I've done a big edit to change unnecessary capitalisation of words such as "and" & "the" in band names, as per Wikipedia's Manual of Style. It ended up making my eyes go a little squiggly so if anyone spots any mistakes, please feel free to correct ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 22:07, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

albums

edit

Should the albums that the peel sessions were on (if any) put into the list? The Laxative (talk) 11:42, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

alphabetical?

edit

i think these sessions would be better represented chronologically —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.147.76 (talk) 08:18, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

This could be done if the information were put into a sort-able table. JamesThomasMoon1979 17:40, 23 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Agree, the ability to sort chronologically would be great - please!Happypoems (talk) 19:56, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

(5 years later) I concur !--Abolibibelot (talk) 16:29, 5 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

[a few months later and a different user] then why don't we start doing that? seems strange to talk about doing it rather than doing it. this is important stuff — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cammiesjammies (talkcontribs) 20:30, 12 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

here I got it started, I'll finish in a few weeks I guess

Table of Contents Error?

Is it just me or are the TOC alphabetical navigation links not working? Anybody know how to fix the code? Wellesradio (talk) 02:07, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Someone who is more versed in editing may want to clean up this list - for example, pointing on "Submarine" shows the preview to the Wiki article for submarine boats. 2A02:560:5868:7B00:F864:AE06:676B:2262 (talk) 23:21, 24 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Examining this diff here [1], there are an overwhelming number of recent changes removing the correctly piped targets, causing a significant quantity of wikilinks to go to disambig pages and obviously incorrect articles. I have reverted all recent edits to the last (relatively) stable version [2]. @Razdan1974 I do recommend you please discuss on the talk page per WP:BRD before making further edits.
