Recurring characters edit

The recurring characters should be ones that either recur over multiple seasons or have signed those three-episode contracts that the production seems to use. They don't need to be introduced as ex's as the show covers their role in the entire series. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:54, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Recurring characters for this list and for the season lists edit

  • Recurring for this characters list: 3 or more episodes. Many of the recurring guest stars sign a 3-episode appearance contract so those characters should be included, even though for the most part this is a single storyline.
  • Recurring for the individual season lists: 2 or more appearances? 3 or more appearances?

A recurring character usually appears in 3 episodes or more in a single season (regardless of being apart of a single storyline), therefore it is not a credit title, it's just a title based on the amount of that characters appearances in a season. Regardless of their credit (in this case, Wayans, Jr. and Fox), characters should be listed in the appropriate section. Wayans, Jr. appeared in over 3 episodes in the third season. Yes, he was credited as a special guest star, but stating that he is recurring doesn't take anything away from that nor does it create confusion, it's simply putting him in the correct section and labeling him with the appropriate label. Same with Fox, she has appeared in over 3 episodes in her two seasons on the show, therefore she is recurring as well, regardless of her credit title. That's the way I've been editing and have been told to edit on Wikipedia, as the title of guest/special guest indicates that character only appearing in 1-2 episodes in a single season. This is the most simple method, rather than having two separate methods going on. Main cast = credit as a starring cast member; Recurring = guest/special guest appearing in 3+ episodes in a single season; Guest/Special Guest = appearing in 1-2 episodes in a single season.
