Another way to identify notable masonic buildings is to cross-check this list vs. the by-state categories at Commons such as Media related to Masonic buildings in Alabama at Wikimedia Commons, which yielded Dale Masonic Lodge and a couple more. Assess probable notability by visual inspection for architecture, and usage of HABS photos, other indications of sources. Yeah, it looks like lots and lots could be added this way. I just browsed in Washington state's category and found and added Green Lake Masonic Lodge, built 1921-24 designed by Bebb and Gould, info found at PCAD page for the building. Add also:

• Masonic Lodge (Tenino, Washington) looks historic and notable (see pic).

Just search on "Masonic" in PCAD to see numerous more, including:

Yep, barely browsed in Colorado's commons category, found photo of Masonic Temple in Trinidad, Colorado, determined it is in a historic district, and added that to this list-article. Lots more to do. --Doncram (talk) 05:10, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

independent(?) fraternal lodges of African-Americans

Seashore Farmers' Lodge No. 767 is not a Masonic group, seems independent as far as I can tell. I have seen other fraternal lodges like this, of African-Americans. How could these be categorized, where could they be list-articled? I guess they could be added to List of African-American historic places, but that list-article covers quite different types of places. There is Category:Ethnic fraternal orders in the United States, but this seems like a singleton, not part of a larger order. --Doncram (talk) 22:04, 21 October 2019 (UTC)

finding NRHP-listed and other ones by "Temple" in name

As with use of "Lodge" in finding NRHP-listed Masonic buildings, managed at now-archived Talk:List of Masonic buildings in the United States/Archive 1#Finding more NRHP ones, could searching NRIS by use of "Temple" but not "Masonic" work to find more. I just came across, and added, Lambskin Temple (its NRIS name) in St. Louis.

How can this be searched for? NRHP infobox generator toolkit allows for positive searches but I think not refined by "not" clauses. The ambiguous search tool doesn't allow restriction to a state. Can do the infobox generator search by state, one by one, i suppose (e.g. apply infobox generator for "temple" in Missouri). It would be nice to distinguish vs. synagogues and some other usages of "temple" in the searching too.

Seating Capacity?
