MBE edit

Lisa Curry has an MBE? Citation please.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.30.55.17 (talkcontribs) 12:29, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Curry did indeed receive a MBE, it was awarded to her back in 1982. I have added a reference as requested. Cheers -- Ianblair23 (talk) 08:55, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Swimming career edit

Curry is foremost known for her swimming career, yet this article doesn't appear to detail her career or achievements - just the post-career recognition for her swimming exploits. Murtoa (talk) 02:49, 13 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

15 gold medals? edit

The article cites her Sport Australia Hall of Fame page, which says "a winner of 15 gold, seven silver and eight bronze international medals",[1] but I don't see how. The page lists 7 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze in Commonwealth Games, but none in Olympics. I have gone over the FINA World Aquatics Championships and FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) and she has no medals listed there either. So what are all the other medals? Age group medals perhaps? She was a great swimmer no doubt, but I think we need to mark the claim of 15 international gold as dubious. Adpete (talk) 03:15, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

It gets stranger: the Queensland Hall of Fame gives 24 gold, 21 silver and 8 bronze.[2] I don't know what meets these two Halls of Fame are talking about, but I just replaced the count with her best known, most prestigious and most verifiable: her 7 / 2 / 1 at Commonwealth Games.
