This article should probably be moved to the correct spelling of the company name (Lingenfelter Performance Engineering), but us lowly IP editors don't have move rights. – 74  20:48, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Found a source, but it contradicts the content.

Two raw URLs were introduced into the article. I have converted one of them into a citation (directed to the actual article instead of a text file which might be a copyright violation), but the other goes to a 404 error. Based on the article text and the URL, I figured it was a Car and Driver article featuring a 2001 Lingenfelter Corvette 427. The closest I could find to that on C&D's site was this: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/2002-lingenfelter-427-twin-turbo-corvette-page-16 However, while the Wikipedia article text claimed a 0-60 mph time of 1.97 s, C&D's article states that power management issues caused the car to have "the unspectacular 0-to-60 time—at least in this company—of 4.1 seconds".

Comparison to an earlier C&D article: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/lingenfelter-427-z06-corvette-specialty-file-specs-page-2 featuring a Lingenfelter Corvette with a normally aspirated 427 putting out 500 hp shows that the non-turbo car, with 300 fewer horsepower, had a lower 0-60 mph time (3.4 s) and a 1/4-mile time of 11.7 s, higher than the turbo car by 0.1 s.

The article should probably be edited to reflect this.

The original article can still be found using the Wayback Machine. But basically, I would advise going with whatever you find in the sources rather than what is currently in the article. SpinningSpark 14:44, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

"reads like an advertisement" (?) ...not so fast

This has been flagged as "reading like an advertisemet". I can see how one could come to that conclusion, however, all of the information provided is easily verifiable.
