Critical reception

edit

The Critical Reception section is contradictory about the second series, stating that it has been both 'well received' and has received 'regular negative reviews'. This should be clarified at the very least. My impression is that the critical reception has been awful, with critics expressing bemusement that a second series has been commissioned. --Ef80 (talk) 11:03, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I will attempt to tidy it up but I suppose both statements are true - it has been well received by the public but has recieved negative reviews from critics. --tb240904 Talk Contribs 19:11, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have rearranged the section for clarification and made some other minor changes. I think it still needs more work though. The underlying issue seems to be that it's achieving reasonable audience figures, but all critics without exception think it's really, really awful. --Ef80 (talk) 19:19, 21 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Categories

edit

I would query some of the categories that this article is in. I have previously noted on the talk page for Category:Films shot in Edinburgh that it seems odd that TV series should be included in this category. Equally although made by BBC Scotland I am not sure if this should be in Category:2000s Scottish television series and Category:2010s Scottish television series as the series is not set in Scotland and does not have any particularly Scottish themes. Note that the Dublin set Mrs. Brown's Boys which is also produced by BBC Scotland and filmed in Glasgow is not in Category:2010s Scottish television series nor is All Round to Mrs. Brown's although at least one segment of it was actually set in Scotland. However I do not want to change this without consensus. Dunarc (talk) 19:19, 2 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
