naming

edit

It seems the vast majority of sources give his name as LJ van Zyl and this is what is used in virtually every meeting he competes in. Google gives 146,000 results for LJ and only 9,380 for Louis Jacob, which may now be influenced by the Wikipedia naming. I think we should move it back and just mention in the intro what his full name is. --Pietaster (talk) 09:28, 14 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation?

edit

It would be interesting to find a guide to how to say van Zyl's name. Especially the initials LJ. Because it's not the English language that decides, but rather Afrikaans? Or? Fomalhaut76 (talk) 21:50, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

South African sources in English also use "LJ van Zyl" - on radio and television the initials are pronounced like "normal" letters "Ell Jay". Roger (talk) 16:33, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
