Hey, Applodion, I'm doing the final DYK check, and the hook says they were trapped for hours. Article says they attacked with flamethrowers at 5am, that they crossed the moat, got trapped, and in the afternoon were rescued, but it doesn't say when they actually got trapped to support the 'trapped for hours twenty feet away' in the hook. I'm assuming that's in the Horne book, but I can't get to more than snippets, so I can't insert it for you. Can you put something in that mentions when they crossed/got trapped, with a citation? --valereee (talk) 12:47, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Valereee: They were trapped almost immediately after crossing the moat; the French machine guns were only silenced for a moment. They were just twenty feet away from their comrades because they did not get any farther in the short time when they were able to move. I.e., they were trapped just after the attack began, around 5 a.m. I will clarify this in the article. Applodion (talk) 15:40, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
