Not done for now: Personally I don't think the tone of the suggestion is any tiny bit better than the tone we now have in the article. The article could benefit from a clean-up and more sources. Sam Sailor Sing 12:51, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I hope that the references given prove that she finished and graduated from college. Also, the line "first, a politicians wife" is also negative, reference <http://www.mc.edu.ph/MyMC/Alumni/MMCFA.aspx> given would prove that she is a writer. Hoping for your consideration. Thanks! For her postgraduate studies, she attended short courses in different colleges and universities in the U.S. through the Thomas Jefferson study grant for Investigative Journalism of the United States Embassy. She also completed a third-level French language course at the Alliance Francaise de Manille in Makati. In school, she participated in activities like singing, theater, public speaking and sports but focused more on writing whether it’d be creative or thesis writing. Though Sanchez had inclinations towards the performing arts, she believed her “calling” had always been in the field of information and communication; and maintains that, before being an on-camera personality, she is “first, a writer.” [1] [2] Rewrote the statement to make it more neutral, avoided using words like excel and awardee. Also, current statement is false because she did not drop out of school; while the phrase "she is 'first, a politicians wife'" is subjective and biased. Would appreciate acceptance of edit.   Not done: The text suggested is more or less a direct copy of one of the sources: http://www.korinasanchez.com/about-me.html What people write on their home pages is all up to them, but the WP:TONE is not appropriate for an encyclopedia. I have in fact removed the part from the lead that was close to the primary source. Since you are interested in the subject, may I suggest that you find reliable secondary sources that could be used in the article? I will post you a welcome message, maybe you would want to edit other articles as well. Sam Sailor Sing 15:00, 24 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reversion of Mass Deletion and Controversy undue weight edit

I've reverted the mass deletion performed in this article and the putting on an WP:UNDUE weight on one controversial incident in this broadcaster's career. --Lenticel (talk) 03:55, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Personal website does not constitute as valid sourse of citation. request for deletion for entries But the tone is the same. Suggested reading WP:NPOVThe article could benefit from a clean-up and more sources. as you have not cited any reliable sources > The text suggested is more or less a direct copy of one of the sources: http://www.korinasanchez.com/about-me.html What people write on their home pages is all up to them, but the WP:TONE is not appropriate for an encyclopedia.raabbustamante (talk) 12:53, 22 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. I think that official websites of public figures are a valid source of biographical information. --Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 06:46, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
raabbustamante you removed sections that I already cited with 3rd party sources. I wasn't even the one who added korinasanchez cites in the first place. Please at least refine your accusations. --Lenticel (talk) 13:09, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
You can also use primary sources but to a lesser extent compared to secondary ones. --Lenticel (talk) 13:23, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I assumed deletion is okay since the sections are all unsourced? Why put it back up if sources are questionable or non existent? Lenticel you wisely put in your talk page deletions is okay. That's what's happening here. If you are quoting the WP:UNDUE let's wait call for someone to make it balanced then yes? Reijiro (talk) 09:46, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I cited those awards sections and also the Tsinelas campaign. Had I've not been distracted by the massive copyvio on the other article then I would have added more. --Lenticel (talk) 13:07, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
I agree with User:Lenticel that there is now undue weight to a simple exchange of words with Cooper.
Further the deletion of all the awards was excessive. Maybe all the awards should not be added back but all of the information should not have been deleted. Only if unsourced material is controversial should it be deleted. Instead of deleting the sections, the source should have been found. For instance, look on her official website. --Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 06:56, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Deleted PIPOL (ABS CBN Channel 2) Pipol of the Year, Korina Sanchez- internal network award, SISP awards by ABS CBN given to employees of ABS CBN should not be included.Raabbustamante|Talk

The cite supports the 2005 entry (see paragraph 6 of the source). As I said before, prove your accusations first. Why do you have to change that to the Cooper entry again anyways? It is already covered a few paragraphs below. We are trying to remove undue weight here.--Lenticel (talk) 22:19, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Relevance of the method her children were born? edit

The article mentions that she had kids through surrogacy, I'm not sure how relevant it is. Samiwamy (talk) 17:00, 18 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Samiwamy: Hi there, I googled 'celebrities that have had surrogates' and this Parents magazine article came up, listing 19 American celebrities. I checked the Wikipedia articles of the first eleven people, and all but one mentioned surrogacy. The one that did not, Ellen Pompeo, only had a brief mention of children in the lede, with no further content about her children in the body of the article. So that one seems more like an omission than an active decision to omit. So based on that sample size, it seems a common thing to include.
