The Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhus or CKPs of Western India should be removed from the list of subdivisions of Kayasthas from across the page. CKPs are listed in Gazetteer and other ethnological sources to have been a division of the "Prabhu" castes of Western India, with Pathare Prabhus being their sister caste (as mentioned on the main CKP page). CKPs aren't considered as a subdivision or subgroup of Kayasthas anywhere in India. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.157.187.130 (talk) 18:42, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kayastha (also referred as Kayasth, Kaith or Lala) in the starting, it should be written as it is more correct. TheProEditor11 (talk) 14:30, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Jonesey95 Hey, I think that this is reliable source for the change I want! - http://www.kayasthencyclopedia.com/kayasth-grand-narrative.html TheProEditor11 (talk) 12:58, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
TheProEditor11, please note that such blogs/sites are not at all considered as reliable by the community, especially for contentious caste articles. We need modern (post Raj era) scholarly work by reliable authors. Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 16:36, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
That website is actually used to cite in several Wikipedia pages. Also, that website is not a blog as that website is purely based on/for Kayastha(s). Although, it is on you if you want to add or not! I also have extended confirmed rights but I preferred to continue this conversation! Thanks TheProEditor11 (talk) 16:48, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also, that website is based on the book Kayasth : An Encyclopedia of Untold Stories. So, books are the best source of information which can be used here as reliable source! TheProEditor11 (talk) 16:51, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
You can always add poorly sourced content, but someone or the other (experienced editor) will revert you, TheProEditor11. Can you tell me who's the reliable author here? Publisher? Extended confirmed rights doesn't mean that you have a license to violate our policies/conventions/existing consensus; your statement above shows that you are still a novice editor. I am sure that you will learn more with time. Ekdalian (talk) 16:58, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also note that such sites promoted by the community are considered as highly unreliable! Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 17:02, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why are you getting so unpolite in this conversation? I always give respect to senior editors here but it doesn't mean I will listen to scolding from someone. Feeling very sad after this. Feeling very sorry on you that even after 11 years of huge experience, you talk to your junior(s) like this! Sorry and Thanks! TheProEditor11 (talk) 17:04, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Impolite? Which statement? Sorry if you felt that way, but I have always encouraged you. And I am quite sure that you would be a great contributer in recent future. Thanks! Ekdalian (talk) 17:17, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your above statement "Extended confirmed rights doesn't mean that you have a license to violate our policies/conventions/existing consensus; your statement above shows that you are still a novice editor." was very impolite. You could have even told me the same thing in a good language but sentence like license to violate, still a novice editor doesn't suit on you... Anyways, thankyou for all you encouragement till now and Thankyou for your wishes! TheProEditor11 (talk) 17:21, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kayastha are not mixed caste edit

kayastha are not mixed caste 122.180.212.121 (talk) 12:31, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

The statement related to mixed caste is reliably sourced; Wikipedia relies on reliable sources! Your opinion won't change reliably sourced content! Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 14:04, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

in the article, kayasths are determined as shudras who became uppercaste which is entirely wrong, we are brahmins and kshatriyas not shudras — Preceding unsigned comment added by JaiKayasthana (talkcontribs) 20:55, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Not done: as you have not requested a specific change in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
More importantly, you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 21:04, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

", while others often described them as a 'mixed-origin' caste with Brahmin and Shudra components." here kayasths are metnioned as shudra which is entirely wrong, pls correct this mistake as kayasth are khsatriya and brahmin only.
