Running time info

edit

I can't see why the running time should not be in the article. I note that {{Infobox television}} includes a runtime parameter. I'd happily leave the running time to the infobox, except that {{Infobox animanga/Video}} inexplicably doesn't support a runtime parameter. Carolina wren (talk) 21:22, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

That's just how it is for anime articles. I think the fact that you can't find a parameter for it on {{Infobox animanga/Video}} speaks for itself. You could take this matter up on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga. For now you should refrain from adding the length simply because every other widely know anime article doesn't include it. ーKirtZJTalk 21:29, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
If you can point me to a policy that anime episodes are to be treated differently than ordinary television episodes concerning runtime, I'll go nag elsewhere about changing it. Carolina wren (talk) 21:30, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga As I said, make a new section and ask there. ーKirtZJTalk 21:32, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I am taking it there, but I found no policy there saying running time is not to be included. Carolina wren (talk) 21:36, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Erm, you're supposed to make a new section, ask as a generalization and await responses after which a consensus can be reached. I'm interested in this as well, I have no qualms about this particular detail. I'm just keeping consistency across anime/manga articles. ーKirtZJTalk 21:40, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Karneval (manga)Karneval – The reasons for making the manga/anime series the primary sense of this remain valid from when the original request for this move was made and granted shortly after the anime premiered last year. The manga/anime gets the first eight links when I do a Google showing that despite the antiquity of the Germanic carnivals, the manga/anime is the current primary English language use of the term and thus should be target even without considering that most incoming links to Karneval are to the manga/anime. Carolina wren (talk) 05:11, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose – Since the undiscussed move undid a previous undiscussed move, this request is not appropriate. And if you look in books, instead of web, only 2 of the first 10 hits are about the manga. Admit it's ambiguous and leave it, or make a disambig page. Dicklyon (talk) 06:08, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
    • Agree with Dicklyon. While it's fully legit to take Google into consideration, it's not the only measure. If there's a place where the culture of centuries should have a meaning, it's Wiki. Besides in literature you'll find the carnival for "Karneval" which is more relevant than blogs and fanpages on Google ranked by hits. "Karneval" is the global synonym for Central European carnival traditions and thus should lead where it's meant to. If you type in "Karneval" in Wiki's search box you'll easily notice the "Karneval (manga)" entry or you'll see the redirects at the carnival page. We should be confident about our users they're able to handle this. All the best, Horst-schlaemma (talk) 11:28, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - for reasons give (I think they are also opposing) from Dicklyon and Horst-schlaemma "Karneval is" in Google Books does not say "Karneval is a manga" - and the dab (manga) is helpful, it tells the reader what this article is. There might be a cause for a Karneval (disambiguation) with the basic meaning Karneval, then the manga plus "Karneval", a 1974 Marianne Rosenberg song, listed. But Karneval should redirect where Horst-schlaemma has it redirecting, the primary meaning. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:50, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Source of Chapter Titles

edit

Does anyone know what source is currently being used for the English chapter titles? I don't want to be inconsistent. ROBO731 (talk) 23:06, 26 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
