Kappa Delta Pi current situation... edit

IMO, Kappa Delta Pi has changed about as much as a group continuing to use Greek Letters *can* change from being a GLO, to the point where I wonder whether using Infobox Organization would be more suitable.Naraht (talk) 18:54, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Naraht: The really don't even use Greek letters anymore. Their entire website has rebranded to use KDP rather than ΚΔΠ. The logo on this article is even out of date. I would agree to the change of infobox. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:11, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
WikiDan61 I did find *one* use of the greek letters on the website for the organization. https://community.kdp.org/network/members/profile?UserKey=29b5f9c9-4a85-46cf-bcf6-55d5004fd2be , but I'm quite willing to take that as a one-off.Naraht (talk) 03:04, 26 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Naraht: It appears that the change has occurred recently. Up until the end of 2021, the were using kdp.org as their home page (see this archive), but as of January 2021, they started using kdp.org/home as their homepage (see this archive) with the new KDP branding. However, I am unable to find a single document online that discusses this change, so adding any discussion of this rebranding to the article will be difficult without reliable sources. Current sourcing... edit

At this point so much of the sourcing is primary, that I think I'd reject it from WP:AFC. We have to restore *something* in terms of the history, be it to Baird's or the Archive. (Frankly, the idea of having one article for Kappa Delta Pi and another for KDP seems almost reasonable).Naraht (talk) 18:23, 26 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

First 100 years of History from Kappa Delta Pi's standpoint edit

Still a primary source, but not as bad as pulling from the current website on some things. (and does confirm that the club's co-ed membership stopped it becoming a Phi Delta Kappa chapter.) Naraht (talk) 21:27, 27 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Phrase directly from KDP edit

OK, the Wikipedia page originally had the following exact sentence "Kappa Delta Pi was founded in 1911 at the University of Illinois to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching." Given that the last clause of this is from a description that Kappa Delta Pi uses to describe itself in multiple places, (for example https://dev.kdp.org/aboutkdp/pdf/FoundersDayManual.pdf), should it be blockquoted instead?Naraht (talk) 05:42, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
