Picture???

The picture added by Lilidor, does'nt really seem to be a kanak woman. What is the source of this picture??? Believe me, the costume and the hair dress are far to be typicaly kanak ones but look like much more african. Kanak women costume called "Robe Popiné" (Local Mother Hubbard dress style) is more like in these pictures[1], [2]. Nevers

Religion

Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but it seems to me subtly ethnocentric to explain that "most Kanaks are Christian, but a few still follow traditional beliefs." Perhaps the article would better read "while most Kanaks today are Christian, some Kanaks follow the traditional beliefs." Also, do the traditional beliefs have names? Is/Are there (a) "Kanak religion(s)?"--Kevin (talk) 23:44, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
