Contested deletion

I've already been through this with DGG, every licensed station (barring Traveller's information stations) are usually kept as notable. Take this, for example--Americanfreedom (talk) 00:57, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

I just looked at that deletion discussion from 2009. In this comment, who is the "we" in "We have determined that anything with an FCC license is protected from deletion"? This sounds like some walled garden activity. FCC license =/= substantial discussion in reliable sources. And in any case this is lowpower and the outcomes list says "Lower power radio stations limited to a small neighborhood, such as Part 15 operations in the United States or stations with a VF# callsign in Canada, are not inherently notable, although they may be kept if some real notability can be demonstrated. @Jytdog: Part 15 stations are 1 milliwatt, that's 1/100 of an actual watt. Those cover neighborhoods, hell, more like a couple houses. LPFMs cover entire cities. There are some that cover cities of 50,000+ people or more. LPFMs are notable under NMEDIA, Part 15s are not. I ask that you read up on this before going any further as you don't seem to have a clear grasp on the subject. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 19:53 on September 10, 2016 (UTC)

Hm. I have nominated for deletion. I am interested to see if things have really reached the point where WP is just a directory, regardless of whether there is significant coverage in independent, reliable sources. Jytdog (talk) 20:06, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

I'm having serious trouble believing that in your 8 years here, that you just stumbled across these radio station articles and have no clue about NMEDIA and the consensus that backs NMEDIA.

I also have serious trouble with you classifying the FCC, the Federal Communications Commission, a part of the United States Government, as not an "independent, reliable source". The US Government is, has and probably always will be an "independent, reliable source" and that is backed up by a LOT of consensus. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 21:26 on September 10, 2016 (UTC)
