Date Unify: Format Consistency edit

I am requesting the administrators to please check the date format herein used once and for all, based on the [format consistency], and quote: [For an individual still living]; as both this IP address (86.0.255.34) (talk) and I disagree. I am only implying to the "date format consistency." That's all, thank you. Rammaum (talk) 17:15, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is clear in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_%28dates_and_numbers%29#Strong_national_ties_to_a_topic as thers is not a strong US tie to the subject then the international dd mmmm yyyy format prevails.
Please check topic below "Date formatting resolved" Thank you. -- Rammaum (talk) 16:52, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Date formatting edit

Obviously this article has strong tie to the Philippines, a country that was colonized by US. Thus, its English speaking was influenced by the US since then. Moreover, I started this article, which says, the first person to insert a date is equivalent to "the first major contributor". Please be guided accordingly. Thank you. -- Rammaum (talk) 16:50, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

article has worldwide interest and appeal, just look and the sources - none are local, therefore international standards take higher president over local forms.
The date should be in the form Month Day number, year (ex. June 17, 2011) for many reasons. First, it would be retaining the original format. Second, per WP:DATERET, the date format should only be changed "based on strong national ties to the topic" (emphasis added by me). The argument for changing it cites international standards while the argument for keeping it cites national standards. Ryan Vesey (talk) 20:53, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Measurements edit

In the first paragraph, there is a mishmash/inconsistency of measuremrnt 'bases.'

First use is centimeters and decimal-inches equivalencies.

Next use is meters and fractional-inches equivalencies.

This is, or can be, rather confusing; and, definitely, not uniform consistency.

Can this be rectified?

Just curious. 2600:8800:784:8F00:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 11:52, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
