Color

Johnny Harts' style is very much like flipping through a very old photo album in sepia come to life in animation. The essence of bewitching grace prevails with the older black and white material. Anyone know if he had the opportunity to work with color?

In my research which has expanded this article, I found no evidence of early work with color, though obviously his Sunday B.C. strips have been colored for quite a few years now - probably back to 1970 or before. 209.221.223.20 06:19, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC) avnative

Disputed section

Johnny Hart was a Spanish man born September 16, 1939 and depicted with much forsight the monarchy of Spain in fantasy by cartoon. It was a very dark series but created very much attention from the media. The series he named "Hartarchy In Vitro". Some titles include: The Haunted Castle, Tune River Melody, The Princess, her lover, and a hostage, The Virgin, In Dreams Escape.

Does Johnny Hart's death mean that both comics are ended, or will they be continued? The article states nothing relative to this. --myselfalso 01:42, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

According to the Yahoo article strips will be produced in the foreseeable future because others were working on them as well as Hart, and he has an extensive back-catalog to work from. --Dcamin 01:52, 9 April 2007 (EST)

According to the BBC, he had a computer archive of his work and some help from his family, which means that the strips WILL continue.

Controvery Section

I feel like the controversy section belongs only in the Wikipedia article for the B.C. strip itself. Not to say it isn't relevant in here, but this article is a biography on Johnny Hart himself - the controversy was attached to the strip, which has it's own article that also addresses (with graphics) the controversy. Bit late to the party, but that's correct. The UCI "Zot" graphic was drawn by a school employee. Here's a link to a rendition of the mascot by Hart, which is markedly different.  Aar  ►  21:54, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Textbooks

Growing up, I had the unexpected good fortune to encounter two textbooks Hart had illustrated (mostly with BC, ID comics). One on basic economics and another on geometry (which was also inspired by MC Escher). I have not been able to find bibliography information on these, but think the addition would be useful and relevant to this site. Anybody here have a higher skill level in Find Obscure Book? Molestation claim

I see no reference for the statement that he was molested. A: this needs to have back up, and B: it seems to have no place in the article, even if it isn't just trolling (I.e., as a result he worked to stop sexual abuse). "Personal life" section

This section really has nothing about his personal life, it's almost exclusively about his "B.C." comic strip and how it was used to promote things in Hart's hometown area.

I think more about his life (growing up, wife, children, education, philanthropy, etc.) must be included; otherwise, I think the section title should be changed to something like "How Hart used B.C." 2600:8800:784:8F00:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 20:57, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
