Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Jim Mattox. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

I edited this to give substantive information concerning Jim Mattox, one of the most controversial politicians in Texas during the 1980's and 1990's. His association with the notorious Clinton Manges, the successor to the sinister and corrupt "Duke of Duval", George Parr, is one of the defining threads in Mattox's career. Manges, once listed by Forbes as one of America's richest men, was convicted in 1997 of a federal conspiracy charge in connection with an offshore oil property and sentenced to 27 months in federal prison. Another defining thread was Mattox's claim in 1992 that the popular Ann Richards was a cocaine user. Richards went on to defeat Mattox in the Democratic gubernatorial runoff and defeated the Republican candidate in the general election. Richards' popularity and influence in the Democratic party contributed to the eventual demise of Jim Mattox in politics.
