Minor changes
editI've removed several references to Ward being the 'English Heavyweight Champion'. Weight-based categories did not exist at the time Ward was fighting, he was simply 'English Champion' or, alternatively, 'All England Champion'.
Also removed references to the 'cyberboxingzone' website, which is the usual source of these anachronistic references to 19th century prizefighters fighting in weight-based categories. Also removed some other dead links. Added instead references (and a link) to Pugilistica volume 2, which has a 32 page chapter on Ward (certainly the definitive source for info on his life and fights). Axad12 (talk) 10:05, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- Added further references to where incidents in Ward's career are covered in Pugilistica. It seems that quite a lot of Ward's fights covered in Pugilistica are not currently mentioned in this article. Axad12 (talk) 10:21, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
