President of Société d'encouragement pour l'industrie nationale and improper sentence

edit

I feel that this description of Dumas's office belongs in the biography section with his other memberships and appointments, not in the Scientific Work section. I have moved the sentence "Dumas was president of Société d'encouragement pour l'industrie nationale from 1845 to 1864." From the end of the Scientific Work section to the end of the second paragraph of the Biography, where I feel it fits best in the existing chronology. The former last sentence of the second paragraph of the biography, "The same year he became correspondent of the Royal Institute of the Netherlands and when that became the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1851 he joined as foreign member." should be written as two separate sentences. I have also changed this. EquallyFoolish (talk) 18:02, 29 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Trichloroacetic acid

edit

" trichloroacetic acid – a derivative of essentially the same character as the acetic acid itself" This is unclear, what is meant by "essentially the same character"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.72.109.219 (talk) 20:39, 19 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello

edit

My purpose in editing Dumas' page over the next few months will be to expand on his scientific work. I want to explain more of the experiments he did and the theories behind them. EquallyFoolish (talk) 20:33, 6 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
