Not sure the proper way to do it, but if anybody is better than me at Wikipedia: basically all the previous edits from 98.155.163.122 should be reverted — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.21.186.227 (talk) 06:37, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

"Hired by his wife" edit

The opening sentence of the article, "James William Kilgore (born July 30, 1947) is an American research scholar, hired by his wife, at the University of Illinois' Center for African Studies in Champaign–Urbana," seems strange and unnatural to me. The fact that he was hired by his wife does not seem to be so important as to include it in such a prominent place, even if there was controversy over the circumstances of his hiring. As he is notable for reasons other than the circumstances of his hiring, I think this aside should be removed. NearNRiver (talk) 15:03, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

PhD degree from Deakin edit

I'm going to be bold and remove the note in the infobox questioning Dr. Kilgore's PhD degree from Deakin and replace it with a reference to said PhD. Although Dr. Kilgore has lived a controversial life, and has spent time in prison for multiple crimes, there is no evidence supporting any insinuation that his PhD was earned in anything other than a legitimate manner. Per the policy on biographies of living persons a negative insinuation of this kind should be removed immediately unless there is evidence that the university itself has revoked the degree. No such evidence seems to exist: quite the contrary, there is a reference suggesting that the PhD was awarded legitimately which I will post. Dash77 (talk) 22:32, 25 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
