WALB-TV was NOT the second station in Georgia edit
The "source" for information that WALB-TV is Georgia's second-oldest television station found by HENDAWG229 isn't just wrong, it's bad wrong. I can find sources for a number of other stations that were already on the air before WALB:
- WMAZ-TV in Macon: September 27, 1953
- WTVM in Columbus: October 6, 1953
- WAGA-TV in Atlanta: 1949
- WXIA-TV in Atlanta: 1953
I would have removed it myself, but I'm not willing to edit war. HangingCurveSwing for the fence 15:08, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- The "source" I provided states WALB was founded by Gray in 1946. All the stations you've listed were founded after 1949. HENDAWG229 (talk) 22:05, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- Except that the station didn't actually make it to air until 1954. The airdate is what counts. 23:20, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
