There is a decent amount of info here, but could someone familiar with the topic rewrite it so that (after the introductory paragraph of course) it reads in chronological order? When were the sons born? When was she addicted to opium and wine and when was she in and out of sickrooms? An what was she sick with?--Hraefen 23:47, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Contradiction

edit

"She became ill after just two years marriage in 1845 and died."

How is this possible, if she died in 1857? NorthernThunder (talk) 05:32, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note according to the Libraries and Archives of Canada Isabella Clark married John Alexander Macdonald September 1st 1843, the original statement of Marriage has been scanned for digital viewing from the Archives at http://data2.collectionscanada.gc.ca/e/e333/e008303545-v6.jpg making her death in 1857 a marriage lasting 15 years. She was survived by her Husband and one son Hugh John Macdonald.

removed odd sentence

edit

I've removed this unsourced sentence:

After her death in 1857, medical examination concluded that she was suffering from a somatization disease.

because our linked article says the condition was only named in the 20th century. Something's not quite right. Carbon Caryatid (talk) 17:27, 6 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
