Suggest keep as one article. They seem to think they're one organization. (I checked to see if the public radio was really part of this and the external link seems say it is). RJFJR 16:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Wouldn't it make more sense to keep an umbrella page but split based off of the division organizations?

notable alumni?

maybe some words about who they are: ie "broadcaster", "rock star", etc. would be appropriatae? particularly for those without links or those (such as mike wallace) that just link to disambiguation pages. j-beda 03:39, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I'd like to suggest we limit notable alumni to ones that are notable enough to have an article of their own. I've been bold and removed the redlinks from this section. I've also added a comment requesting blue links only. e need to decide how much beyond a link to the article is needed here without making it crowded. RJFJR 16:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Who removed Christie Hefner from the alum list? She was an NMC camper in the early 70s - and is certainly a notable alumni. I've re-added her. gerbera

Not notable enough

I removed Meggie Cramer because it does not appear she is notable enough yet. Please see this link [2]. S.dedalus 07:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I removed Andrew Schwab, because I'm pretty sure that name refers to a current student there (especially judging by the fact that the external link/citation from that name went to the "Boobah" site, and not an actual biographical site) and not the Andrew "Macabre" Schwab of Project 86. I've never seen the Project 86 Schwab referenced in any of Interlochen's alumni publications, whereas a current senior at Interlochen is named Andrew Schwab. So, later, gator! Boosterism

'The world’s premier summer arts program'? I think that's a slogan of theirs. Fine to call it a slogan, but "...and many consider it the 'world’s premier summer arts program'." is unsourced boosterism. I could be wrong... please add a source for this or I'll delete it. Trying to promote themselves?

"Interlochen's uniform blurs class distinctions, frees members of the Camp community from the distraction of picking out clothes each day, and fosters an environment where individuals express and distinguish themselves through their art form and not their appearance."

2017 Notable Alumni cleanup

The Notable Alumni section has a few issues. It's a large list, it contains a number of people who's notability is questionable, there are not verifiable sources for most listings, and there is no description of the person or their contribution. Additionally there is no distinction between attendees of the Academy, and those who just came to a summer camp one time. Ideally (see Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Lists of people) each entry would look something like this:

• Nora Jones - multiple Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter.

There's a long way to go to get to that stage. To kick things off, I've been through each entry in the list. The following people I've deleted as they do not currently have an entry in wikipedia (are therefore are likely not notable). It's possible to be notable and not have an article, but to stay in this list you'd need to be provide verifiable secondary sources establishing that. Feel free to add them back in with those references.

These next entries have a wikilink to some article, but they are problematic for some other reason. I've deleted them. The various reasons are listed next to their names below. Again, if you have verifiable secondary sources that show they are notable and attended Interlochen please add them back.

• Nicole Davis - link is to a volleyball player with no mention of Interlochen, so either the wrong person, or they are not notable as an alumni because they are notable in a different field
• Allie Schulz - link is a redirect to reality show she was a contestant on, not noteable
• Paul Stovall - link is to a pro basketball player with no mention of Interlochen, so either the wrong person, or they are not notable as an alumni because they are notable in a different field
• Cody Williams - link is to father Robin Williams, not notable
• Matthew Raymond - no article, just a link to his own website
• Nora Menken - link is to Alan Menken her father, she's not in notable in her own right
• Robert Rummel-Hudson - link is to a parenting author with no mention of Interlochen, so either the wrong person, or they are not notable as an alumni because they are notable in a different field

Everyone else, I've kept in the list for now.

This group have references attached to them in the list. They stay, but someone should probably check the links support the claim that they attended Interlochen.
