Although Ilmensky is a more direct transliteration from the Russian, shouldn't Ilmen Mountains be used as the more prominent historical English language name for the mountain range? Google search shows a 87k for Ilmen Mountains -ilmensky and 32k for Ilmensky Mountains -Ilmen
"Ilmensky Mountains" is promoted by Russians who have translated the name into English but this should not override the more traditional English-language variant of the name.
If there are no strong objections I'll change.
