After my review of the previous year's contest participation for Iceland, the 2021 article is only appropriate! --K. Peake 07:56, 5 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Final comments and verdict edit

  •   On hold until all of the issues are fixed; nice work on this one though! --K. Peake 08:50, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    • Thanks again for picking this one up! I've covered almost all the points above, through changes and additional refs, however I do have a few clarifications.
    • On the contest arena in body point, it is covered here in the first paragraph of "Performances" ("The Icelandic delegation took park in technical rehearsals at Rotterdam Ahoy").
    • The jury order in the voting tables was correct per the version of the website when the article was created (see archived pages here and here) but has clearly been altered since; as the jury scores have been randomised and do not correspond with the order on the article it doesn't particularly matter either way, but for consistency I have gone ahead and changed these to the current order.
    • Your request as well on the refs with middle names is incorrect, as these are not middle names but parts of the surname (in the case of "ten Veen") or are surnames followed by a patronymic per Icelandic naming tradition.
    • Let me know if there's anything else or if you need further clarification on any of these points. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 10:23, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
      • Sims2aholic8 You missed mentioning the actual date of the artist selection in the body, changing the prose to "32 times following its" and fixing the prose about RÚV's announcement, as it needs to be specified that the artist was already chosen by them at the time. --K. Peake 20:52, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
        • @Kyle Peake: Thanks for pointing those additional bits out. I had already changed the prose in the "Background" section to "32 times...", and I've now added the specific date of the artist announcement to that section as well. On the first sentence in the "Internal selection" section, as I had included the artist announcement in the "Background" section, this sentence is meant to convey that the decision to select the song internally was made at the same time as the decision to select the group, so that no national selection was to be held. I can do some re-writing if necessary to bring the artist announcement news into this section as well if you think this is needed. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 08:56, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Sims2aholic8 This is all fine, apart from needing to change "since" to "following" after 32 times to avoid overusing the word. --K. Peake 09:05, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
  •  Pass time, now that all of the issues have been dealt with! --K. Peake 11:10, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

  •   Article promoted to GA on 7 June 2022. It is well-sourced, no copyvios seen (18%).
  • The hook fact is cited inline, the article meets the required length. QPQ done. The first hook is my pick. This is good to go. Nice work! Damian Vo (talk) 16:21, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
