Template:Heritage Railway How can one adapt this template and get rid of the irrelevant link to the List of British heritage and private railways, as well as incorporate all of the relevant parameters of Template:Infobox SG rail? The original CP branch line extended beyond Wakefield, Quebec to Maniwaki, Quebec. Peter Horn 22:38, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Who owns the track edit

It is not clear if the QGR ever owned this track, but then who does own it since the CPR abandoned it? Peter Horn 00:01, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The website of Steam train gives the starting date as 1992 but the QGR did not start until 1997. So the owneship of the track went directly fron the CPR to the HCWR. Peter Horn 02:37, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Who owns the track now, the Chemin de fer de l'Outaouais or the Hull–Chelsea–Wakefield Railway? Peter Horn User talk 17:37, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

History edit

Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield Railway#History The CP Railways systems map in the 1969/1970 edition of JANE'S, pp 434-435, indeed shows Maniwaki as the end of the branch line. Peter Horn 15:41, 20 May 2009 (UTC) Peter Horn User talk 18:49, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Clarification required edit

Does the Chemin de fer de l'Outaouais now own the Hull–Chelsea–Wakefield Railway as well? Peter Horn User talk 01:08, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Is this past history now? edit

The link www.steamtrain.ca [dead link] would indicate that this railway no longer exists. Peter Horn User talk 00:49, 11 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

It appears that STO is taking over the railroad's right of way and turning it into a busway. I haven't been able to find any documentation, but they are building new stations along the route. It looks like the railway is no more. 50.100.151.5 (talk) 03:30, 26 July 2012 (UTC) JasonReply

The rail tracks that were part of the steam train line still exist, there is another line that intersects this former HCW and the buses along the Rapibus line are running over it across the bridge that leads to the Gatineau sector. In addition, I've heard reports that the train may be re-launched but instead in the Papineau region (Montebello, Plaisance area) east of the city along the Gatineau-Quebec Railway Corridor the same that ends at the former HCW line in Hull. No official word yet though. 135.19.109.142 (talk) 03:33, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
