Despite this revert, the war is generally viewed as having ended with the truce of 11 July 1921, even though there were breaches on both sides. RashersTierney (talk) 16:52, 22 May 2013 (UTC) In the view of the anti-Treaty republicans the war did not end with the offer of a truce, or with the Anglo-Irish Treaty which they rejected. The IRA continued to fight against the British army until June 1922, when the civil war began and thus brought a final end to the Anglo-Irish war.
