Two issues:

  1. References: yes it has them, but it is impossible to verify them because they are not properly cited.
  2. List: The list of world music performers needs to be trimmed down to remove, at the very least, all the redlinks.

I just wanted to say that the cause behind the complaint is that Houston International Festival does not publish online list of performers. The Houston Chronicle does do this, but the listings for the older festivals are behind paywalls or are not easily available.

I've added all the performers that I remember, and I think other contributors are doing the same thing. I don't remember all the performers, but most of the listings look right, and this page is a really invaluable listing of all the acts which came through the Houston International Festival.
