Update

This is a fine stub of an article, but it would be great to know what Kumu Hina is up to today. All this material as it stands is in the past - she used to teach at Halau Lokahi, which is now closed. She used to be on the burial council, but apparently isn't anymore? She was a candidate for OHA, as seen at the end of the documentary, but how did that turn out? As a living person, privacy rights as well as Wikipedia policy only allow content that is verifiable through multiple reliable secondary sources. As more sources are found the article will likely expand.--Mark Miller (talk) 20:22, 23 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
But you get that. LOL! I Believe the issue is that many of the sources that could be used are not available through the internet yet, however there may be more published university papers on the subject.--Mark Miller (talk) 20:24, 23 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'm pretty certain I spotted her at some of the Mauna Kea actions over the last couple years, teaching songs in at least one of the resistance camps. But these were social media livestreams and unofficial YouTube posts by activists. Maybe there was some more official news coverage that we can find? Unless there are articles and video coverage that confirm and cite her by name, it's OR. Similarly, she updates fairly often on social media, but, without it being more official... In searching for more material, make sure you search on all variants of her name. - CorbieV 23:03, 23 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
There has to be. Also her song is extremely popular and has links to Kamehameha Schools so there might be something from their site.--Mark Miller (talk) 08:30, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, I should ask, if her partner is mentioned publically in sources, is an image of him worth adding?--Mark Miller (talk) 08:32, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
If you mean the guy in the film, last I heard they've broken up. Unless I'm not up to date and there's someone new. (goes to check social media) - CorbieV 00:20, 27 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
