I'm planning on submitting this article to WP:DYK. Currently I'm thinking of the hook "… that Henry Conway, nicknamed “Queen Sloane,” once showed up to a London nightclub in a horse drawn carriage?" Updating edit
This person is a momentary celebrity from 2008, who used taxpayer's money to fund an excessive lifestyle; this wiki should reflect his emblematic status in the recent expenses scandal, not subjective and most probably self-written accounts of him being a 'fashion icon'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.168.135 (talk) 14:23, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- I have to agree with the comment above; actually, I doubt whether he even meets our notability standards, which aren't meant to include 'flash in the pan' pseudo-celebrities. This article should probably be merged into the one on his father. Robofish (talk) 12:14, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- It would make a good AfD and I would see no problem with raising the article for deletion. Personally I would judge the article as a weak keep and slightly more than a failure to address WP:NOTNEWS. I recall the extensive and sustained fuss in the press and this chap was not only mentioned tangentially in reference to his father but most of the news articles were specifically about him, his lifestyle and his response to public opinion. Well, this Henry Conway is far from the most notable Henry Conway (see [1]), so "Henry Conway" must be 'Henry Conway (disambiguation)'. Should this article be renamed to 'Henry Middlename Conway' or 'Henry Conway (Queen Sloane)' or 'Henry Conway (promotor)' or 'Henry Conway (writer)' or something else entirely? --→gab 24dot grab← 16:46, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
