Conviction of Nathaniel Nicholson edit

I don't get it - how could his son get convicted of anything for simply trying to get a pension for his dad from the Russians??? What is the crime that he committed??? - the article doesn't state that. Doesn't seem like he did anything illegal. What was the charge? Thanks in advance to anybody that knows.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.43.150 (talkcontribs) 12 December 2009

I'd like to add to the comment above that the link supporting such a claim is down. Source [2] no longer works.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.248.144.236 (talkcontribs) 14 June 2010

I don't know for sure, but it seems that he was working for a Foreign Power as an intermediary for his father a spy who worked for a Foreign Power, that could be considered espionage. Again I'm not sure just saying it seems he would be doing something illegal if he was working with a spy (his father) and a Foreign Power. I'd suggest you look it up online using Google or another search engine if you want specifics because I'm no expert. I just know that it is illegal to work for a Foreign Power and his father was a spy and he was facilitating his father's continuing his espionage.NapoleonX (talk) 08:09, 27 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Harold James Nicholson - Recent News edit

Over the last few days, there have been online articles about Harold James Nicholson and his son. I have found two news links to verify the story:

Should these articles be included in the article? Adamdaley (talk) 01:46, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

clarification edit

just a quick clarification on this paragraph from the Biography section,

From 1992 until 1994, Nicholson was the Deputy Chief of Station/Operations Officer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he met with and targeted for recruitment Russian intelligence officers.

is this saying that Nicholson met with Russian officers and tried to recruit them to work for the CIA?

is this worded oddly? i have a minor reading comprehension issue, and i'm just not entirely sure if it's me or the sentence structure. ≈Sensorsweep (talk) 02:13, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

or is it missing a few vital words

i.e. he met with and was targeted for recruitment by Russian intelligence officers.? ≈Sensorsweep (talk) 02:20, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
