A fact from Hamilton Brown appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 26 February 2019 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that in 1832, sugar planter Hamilton Brown argued that slaves in Jamaica were better off than the poor in Britain?
In Jamaica, they refer to parishes either by their name (i.e. St Ann), or talk about the "parish of St Ann". This practice of referring to "St Ann Parish" is an alien concept in Jamaica.Mikesiva (talk) 18:08, 13 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Kamala Harris father wrote truth in his book stating that his Brown family line related to Hamilton "Iron Head" Brown. Ancestry.com research showed that he is her Great Great Grandfather. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shirley Tinney (talk • contribs) 03:01, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
