editThe correct spelling is von Vaerst, not the Umlaut-version. While 'ae' is often another way of writing 'a-umlaut', in this case the 'e' indicates the elongated pronounciation ot the preceding a, similar to the city of Soest, e.g. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.136.119.165 (talk • contribs)
