I don't know. I have never heard this article person called "Dr." before. Also, I know you have been relying on this one book a lot lately; be careful with that and do cross-check what they say with other RS sources.Kierzek (talk) 12:40, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

@Kierzek: Krukenberg had a PhD (Dr. jur.) in jurisprudence. So in German, he would be addressed as Dr. Krukenberg. MisterBee1966 (talk) 13:14, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Here are some details on his 1941-1944 career in Anti-liberal Europe: A Neglected Story of Europeanization by Dieter Gosewinke - scroll to page 136. He served mostly as a quartermaster (responsible for supplies and also for prisoners) in Latvia, Byelorussia, Croatia, again Latvia. Gosewinke writes: "He spent a number of years very near the sites of German mass crimes. So he undoubtedly knew about them or maybe even participated in them. But he never spoke about that period, and he was never prosecuted." Should I add that in with attribution to Gosewinke?

Yes, it must be; some speculation as to what he knew or did not know; and as for the second part, I would not put weight on what Phleps had to say in his "rant"; but certainly it is clear they did not have a good working relationship. Kierzek (talk) 21:39, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
