Naming of article edit

I suggest that this page be moved to "Great Public Schools Association of Queensland Inc." (or similar) so we can successfully link it to the various GPS schools' sites. Can somebody more expert than I consider this please? Thanks Peter E. Peter Eedy 05:56, 7 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

It can be moved no doubt - but what is the "exact name" to which it should be move. Guess would not work. --Bhadani 13:26, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Past Results edit

I have all of these up to 1998, and it will take forever to type them all out, so progress will be slow. Anyone with a copy, please help - they're usually in the championship programmes, probably with the last few years included. Also, if anyone can tart it up with a table or similar, that would be good. Thanks, 138.130.214.107 01:42, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I fail to understand why GPS premiership results are considered irrelevant information on the GPS page or why the source of the information is considered unverifiable. It seems self-evident to me that GPS results should be on wiki, perhaps gaining their own page if they became too long. SM247, could you explain further why you think results should not be put here? --Spuzzdawg 07:30, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I would suggest reading WP:SCFT on this issue and looking at the references and links to the associated AfD's on the subjects. The issue has been reviewed ad nauseum by the community, and the continued consensus position has decided that sporting results for school competitions are not considered notable enough for inclusion on WP. • I have included summary results tables with links to the detailed results pages on the GPS website. Hope that is an acceptable compromise :-) Jockosaurus (talk) 23:29, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rowing edit

There is no need to duplicate rowing records on this pages as well as the Heads of the River pages. Steve Stefan 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:BBClogo.JPG edit

Image:BBClogo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:59, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

GOCE Reviewed edit

This article doesn't have that much text. Most of the problem is that the lists aren't in table form. I'd also point out that the article doesn't discuss the GPS nearly at all and instead merely serves list of the champions of athletic competitions.
