"O culo di angelo!"
editI changed back Pilch62's correction. Indeed, it's more correct to write "O culo d'angelo", but Saint Simon literally writes "di". It may be important for Googling to write the expression as it exists in the memoirs. Kind regards Riyadi (talk) 23:01, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Alberoni a scoundrel?
editAccording to the letters of the Duchess d'Orleans, Elizabeth Charlotte, Alberoni was an "infamous scoundrel"; she also says "...I said before that what passed between the Pope and Alberoni was a put-up job between them. Well, as I foretold, he has been set at liberty again," that his arrest was a "farce" and accuses him of dire involvement with "plots against the pope". You can read it here. However, this is all primary source. Does anyone know of a historian analyzing the Duchess' letters, particularly in regard to Alberoni? (There's a ton of info about various kings and about John Law in those letters, too. Really fascinating stuff.) Eaglizard (talk) 22:39, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
