spelling?

edit

I see three potential spellings on this page: ghaychak, gaychak, and geychak. Which one is correct? --Alynna 23:44, 14 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Because it's a transliteration from persian (which use the arabic script), there tend to be more then one spelling. I did a google search and got the following number of hits:
ghaychak: 46
gaychak: 16
geychak: 26
which is why I chose the first

Ok, that makes sense. I'm fine with any spelling, I'm just looking for consistency. Shall I change the others to match then? --Alynna 00:44, 18 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
sure, sorry for my typos.--Marc pasquin 03:04, 18 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Can't it also be spelled "gheychak"? 173.89.236.187 (talk) 15:28, 6 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I propose that Aijieke be merged into Ghaychak. They are the same thing, and the Uyghur wikipedia غىجەك‎ linked to Ghaychak. --Hahahaha哈 (talk) 14:34, 29 April 2016 (UTC).Reply

Support. They seem to be the same instrument, or very closely related. Jo L was here (talk) 10:43, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
