On the other hand, we have the sentence
George Bacon III's remains were never recovered.

Scholarship for George Washington Bacon III
editI am pretty sure the information you have on the scholarship are incorrect. I was married to his sister Gail for 17 years and I was unaware of any scholarship in his memory.

editThis makes no sense, in fact this whole article is not very good at all and reads like a melodrama. Most of the information comes from a website called sofrep.com which is subscription only. No other resources are listed to verify the veracity of this part of the entry.
