Thanks for creating this article! Quite an interesting guy. It is good to make a practice of including page cites from your sources, especially books, which may be difficult to search. I encourage you to identify the names of wives, so they don't get lost to history. Often their family connections and their personal skills were integral to their husband's successes.

Missing from your article was discussion of Lamar's controversial postwar years, when he was arrested as a suspect in Lincoln's assassination, and later imprisoned on charges in GA of attempted bribery while trying to reclaim his confiscated cotton before being pardoned by Pres. Johnson. Also, it may be useful to include more about the related US Supreme Court case so that people can understand how taking the oath was related to recovery of goods or compensation. Hi, I just saw that Coughlin's book was self-published by XLibris. He may very well have used good sources. But generally Wikipedia policy is that Reliable Sources consist of books, magazines, articles, etc. that are published as a result of third-party peer review, to establish a kind of editorial and academic standard. I encourage editors to seek academic journals and books for history articles. The Wikipedia Library provides access (through application for a pass) to many, such as JSTOR and Project MUSE, that are otherwise limited to people connected to academic institutions. Thanks for your additions. When I have some time I'll attempt to add page cites but was unclear on exactly how to do that. If you can point me to a "how to" page I'd appreciate it.
