Name pronunciation edit

How do we know the name is pronounced with s, as it says in the IPA transcription? I would expect the s to be dropped in French. Is there a source for this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.112.186.205 (talk) 09:51, 8 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Indeed. I remember that when I was at school, someone pronounced the name with an s, and was corrected by the mathematics teacher. Paul Magnussen (talk) 05:54, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
