- My name is Bill Patience, USN & USAF Lt. Col. retired (34 years), as well as a retired Senior Flight Test Engineer for Lockheed_"The Skunkworks".

- I was raised in Buffalo, New York and graduated High School in 1979. Frank Reich a Class Act and a caring person and now my favorite player forever..... why... not because I am a huge Bills (and Chargers Fan) but because on October 16, 1989. A very up and down day... because the LA Rams were at Buffalo for Monday Night Football. My wife was in labor and we were the proud parents of our 4th of 5th child. His name was Andrew Neale Lawrence Patience. After the delivery and towards the end of the day my wife/boss said I should go home and finish watching the game with our next door neighbor in Tehachapi. So I jumped in the car and drove up the hill while listening to the game. It was close and nearing the end as I was getting home. I went over to my neighbors and the Bills were winding down the clock on the 20of LA, when Thurman Thomas fumbled and before you knew he hit Flipper Anderson for a 84 yard TD..... Then Frank brought the team back for a 23-20 victory.

The next day I called the Buffalo PR office and explained my story, and within 7 days we had signed photo for Andrew, which stated, "Andrew, What a Special Day!" I met my wife Susan in 1982 here in San Diego, and also started my 12 1/2 year naval career here before moving to Tehachapi.

My last deployments to Balad, IQ was very brutal I was a part of Title 10 Presidential Activation, to help the Iraqi's learn different engineering technique's per british and US standards. I was shot at, I saw little kids with bad injuries.. and the 9 months was long. But what got the most was our team did work well together, and that was hard for me to understand because this is what you train and study for, so that the execution should be a smooth transition. You can measure a person on how they are as a whole person; spiritually, mentally,emotionally... After some of the tragic stuff that has happened to me, I always believe that God has a reason for putting in places, and He will never give me more than I can handle.68.6.210.139 (talk) 03:56, 11 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Done. I could perhaps have looked harder for references on his business activities, but I don't think these are that notable anyway, so I removed that paragraph. Marfinan (talk) 17:14, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Change the part regarding his NFL playing career where it says he was selected by Carolina in the 1995 expansion draft. He was not an expansion draft pick, but instead signed with Carolina as a free agent. 2601:246:8000:605A:BD0B:1FA8:5037:521E (talk) 21:13, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

It would be more accurate to note that Kirk Cousins succeeded Frank Reich for the greatest comeback in NFL history when he led the Minnesota Vikings to victory. 2600:1014:B091:4A4B:A5F5:7886:7101:4742 (talk) 06:11, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not done: That is an opinion. You would need to attribute the statement to reliable sources. Thriftycat TalkContribs 22:40, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
