Fair use rationale for Image:MiamiFClogo.gif edit

Image:MiamiFClogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:54, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Move edit

After a discussion at Talk:Tampa Bay Rowdies, I've moved this page from Fort Lauderdale Strikers (2011) to [[Fort Lauderdale Strikers. The idea is that (1) the currently existing team is the one that most people will be looking for, meaning it's de facto the primary topic, and (2) the date (2011) is highly confusing for a team that was actually founded in 2006. Disambiguation hatnotes edit

There were two teams with very similar names: Miami Fusion F.C. and Miami F.C.. The latter became this team. The former may be confused with the latter. If Miami F.C. still had an article, we could put a hatnote there. They, and linking or typing that term will redirect the reader here, so that hatnote has to go here.

Also, there are four articles about a team named "Fort Lauderdale Strikers" and so a hatnote about that has to be displayed about those.

I don't believe the way it's being done is correct. The redirect should point here and then also point to the Fusion article and the dab hatnote should point to the dab page. However, removing either or both is not acceptable. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:36, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hat notes are fine, but they were very confusingly laid out. I've fixed them; hopefully that will please everyone involved.--Cúchullain t/c 21:12, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Creation of a separate Miami FC wikipedia page edit

In an effort to make it consistent with the original Fort Lauderdale Strikers (1977-83), Miami Toros, and Minnesota Strikers pages, would it make sense to create a separate Miami FC Wikipedia article? Like the original Strikers, the 2011 version relocated to Fort Lauderdale from Miami and re-branded as a completely new team with its own history and identity. Why are there not separate articles in the first place? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SxB (talkcontribs) 20:48, 18 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
