F-35B and JMSDF vs JASDF

edit

The cites used are full of politically and diplomatically correct language quotes where Japan is a screwdriver or vertical landing away from a fully operational aircraft carrier capability from their aviation escort vessels, only all of the JMSDF training will be with USMC roundeled aircraft, on ships modified to operate those USMC aircraft(the same as what the JASDF will operate) and following the path of the initial RN/RAF F-35B carrier ops program spinup. The F-35B is described as USMC aircraft needing to recover even without a functioning local runway and might need to land on an escort vessel if Japan were attacked. The aircraft as noted in the article are not JMSFD operated but are so important in the context of the JMSDF's air service that they need to be mentioned with an JASDF operated qualifier if only to clarify the often misunderstood and misstated idea that soon a Japanese Navy will have Japanese aircraft carriers again with Japanese planes and pilots based at sea running combat air patrols from those aircraft carriers rather than crossdecked US Marines flying their own aircraft(same type) from Japan Maritime Self Defense's decks and ASDF aircraft officially remaining on land. I read this as STOVL aircraft operated by an air force are peaceful and defensive adaptation to runways destroyed by invaders, while in an entirely separate case ships will be modified so that a friendly UNSC permanent member with plenty of their their own ICBMs and attack carriers that is in a protective and cooperative relationship with Japan can land and fly their aircraft from the decks of a modified defensive Japanese 'escort vessel' is also not aggressive. Looking for cites of JASDF getting or planning embedded USMC F-35B training on USN large deck 'phibs.[1] For a wikipedia parallel case I suggest Nuclear weapons and Israel.

Propose merge from Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force aviation

edit

Propose merger as Fleet Air Force is the primary aviation arm, with the only other aviation arm being Air Training Command. The JMSDF aviation page only has the order of battle for Air Training Command, which can also be found on the main JMSDF page as well. Garuda28 (talk) 17:12, 28 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
