Formation date 1885 or 1896?

edit

There seems to be some doubt about when the company was formed. An article in the New York Times in 1898 implies that it was the same company with the different name,[15] however the this reliable source quotes the New York Times at length with details of the sale of assets of the bankrupt former company in 1895 and the formation of this new company in 1896.[16]. I am using the later source and have adjusted the article to be consistent with this interpretation. PeterEastern (talk) 13:15, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Westchester routes

edit

The article claims that Liberty Lines Transit was the successor to their bus operations in Westchester, however the Third Avenue Railway article and the source attached to it claims that Westchester Street Transportation Company was bought from 5th Avenue Coach in 1969. So does that mean the company still operated after the 1962 bankruptcy and acquisition by MaBSTOA? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:31, 19 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

UPDATE; December 13, 2016: It appears Joe Brennan seems to have the answer for this. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 03:41, 14 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
