I'm fairly certain it's 'I love this city.' 24.13.93.171 20:45, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please note the text at the top of this page: "This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Fedde le Grand article. This is not a forum for general discussion about the article's subject." Thanks. Adambro 20:49, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bootlegs

edit

Why does this exist on this entry?

They're unofficial fan booties that were probably made by a bunch of kids who thought they sound cool or something.

Quite possibly. Maybe all bootlegs should be referenced so that we can tell how widely available they are. Triangle e 08:04, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I feel they don't belong here because they are not made by the author and have nothing to do with him except that some people stole his tune and messed it up... RafQue 18:40, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have updated this bio, but now it says: Possible Copyright Infringement. What to do if I have permission to use the information provided by Fedde Le Grand and his website(s)? I have an email in which he states that wikipedia.org is allowed to use this and other information published on his website(s). RafQue 17:43, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you change around the wording and cite where appropriate, it shouldn't be a problem. Something like "Fedde le Grand is the most requested DJ of the world at this moment…So, if you are a music freak we advise you to keep an eye on this self-made man because he will keep you going and making you coming back for more." has no place in an encyclopedia. -Oreo Priest 21:11, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Aha... You'r right, it looks a bit like a commercial this way... :) I will alter the text and make it more appropriate. RafQue 10:53, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have rolled back the article to a version I believe is not a copyright violation. See the text at the top of Wikipedia:Copyright problems for instructions on how to get permission - and note that just "permission to use" is not enough, you need the copyright owner to say "GFDL" - because that's what's required to make it legal to copy FROM Wikipedia into other projects, and that's one of the basic ideas behind Wikipedia: You can use it! --Alvestrand 16:53, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:DATA140CDS-250.jpg

edit

Image:DATA140CDS-250.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sneakerz

edit

The whole paragraph on Sneakerz made no sense, unless one already understood the concept; I deleted most of it. Could someone with stronger English language skills please take a shot at an explanation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.165.188.30 (talk) 00:29, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

File:Feddelegrand.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

edit
An image used in this article, File:Feddelegrand.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
