There's also a large amount on the character in the main Infinite article. – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 22:09, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The article is wrong on its fundamental basis

edit

According to the devs, Elizabeth is and always was (not only in the DLC, where she just becomes playable) the protagonist character of the game. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/08/07/how-playing-as-elizabeth-changes-bioshock-infinite --Niemti (talk) 14:29, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The article does say she's the emotional centre, and that Jeffrey felt she was the main character in Infinite, and aside from one mention of "protagonist Booker DeWitt" you changed, it doesn't seem so "fundamentally" flawed. It might be worth emphasising more her keyness, but the article is still a bit of WIP from my point of view, so I'm wiling to cut it some slack for completeness. – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 15:55, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't this article be called Elizabeth (BioShock Infinite)? --Soetermans. T / C 16:02, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Generally characters are disambiguted by the series they are in, so this should be okay. Also preps us in case there's another BioShock game and she is a characer in that. --MASEM (t) 16:07, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
BioShock's the series/franchise, Infinite is the game. So when you say "Elizabeth (BioShock)", it's as though you're saying "Elizabeth from the BioShock series". Given she's only in Infinite, I don't really have a strong opinion for one. (BS) is slightly shorter, which is an advantage, and fits in with Andrew Ryan, but Infinite is more specific and maybe a bit more natural. A bit of surity is nice, but it's simple enough to move it when the time comes, so I wouldn't be too concerned (and it's not too likely any role she'll have will be as big as her Infinite one).
I noticed when trying to find links to Elizabeth, a couple of (BSI) redlinks were around, while there were no such things for (BS), so that's a good case for moving. It's not the biggest concern so long as they both lead to the same place, but it might be better to move it. Again, I'm fine with either, as far as things go. – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 16:14, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Using "(BSI)" isn't really a problem, I guess that my first thought is if you have to disamb for a character, you'd use the series name first (irregardless of what games in that series the person appeared in) and then game if further disamb was needed. Either works, I just think "(BS)" looks cleaner and easier to remember in editing elsewhere. --MASEM (t) 16:21, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Reading the bits of that, that is not any attempt at a serious discussion of the character and thus not usable. --MASEM (t) 22:15, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Vidya games is not a serious subject. --Niemti (talk) 22:48, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I don't know much about the reliability of The Smoking Jacket (that's Playboy, right?), but I'd say it could be usable. Liz's looks have come into discussion, though I wouldn't rest a whole paragraph on the source.
'Nother source: I've found this Game Informer source. Best duos of 2013 (with, of course, Booker). – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 15:57, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
