East Stroudsburg (NJT station) → East Stroudsburg (Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad station) — Nothing of New Jersey Transit has been built. Better off calling this as the predecessor railroad.Mitch32^{(Transportation Historian)} 20:14, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

• Comment A. The proposer means nothing of NJT has been built at this station. B. If this article is moved, East Stroudsburg (DL&W station) would be a preferable title than the proposed one. Propaniac (talk) 17:46, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

• Oppose lack of moniker at all. This is not Britain. I like the long form because its specific. The basic reader will have no idea what DL&W is. Nor will they know what it signifies if we write out the full name - but that's what the article's for. All the title needs to do is say what the thing's called and distinguish it from anything else of that name. I'd have thought "East Stroudsburg station" accomplished that quite satisfactorily.--Kotniski (talk) 15:59, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

They'll know which railroad it is. If we're going to use DL&W so be it. But I definitely oppose lack of any disambiguator. The name isn't that long and despite the fact my home railroad uses a short name, its at least specific. It helps so we don't confuse it for the Wilkes-Barre and Eastern Railroad stuff.Mitch32^{(Transportation Historian)} 16:03, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Significance of the East Stroudsburg station

The station is significant without NJT because it is one of the stations on the DL&W mainline from New York City to Binghampton, NY. --Paul E Musselman Paulmmn (talk) 19:31, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
