Producer?

Theres a differeing account on who produced the movie, Laemmle jr. (as said here) or Paul Kohner (as said in the article about Lupita Tovar). Both cite sources, that seem reliable. Any idea, how to solve this? 95.90.116.131 (talk) 10:13, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

The Universal Horror book credits PauL Kohner as the Associate producer. My best guess is that the article on Tovar is just using short hand to say Kohner is a producer as a job, but his official credit on the film appears to be just Associate producer. I have the blu-ray of this film and could check to confirm, but I feel like this covers the ground either way. Andrzejbanas (talk) 14:58, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

Error re Cast

These are the actresses who played The Brides in the Tod Browning/Bela lugosi version filmed at the same time. The Spanish-language version definitely used different women, though I'm not sure that their names are known. In any event, these should be removed. WHPratt (talk) 18:37, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Lack of Music

I saw it last night at the Detroit Film Theater's 40th anniversary weekend. It lacks a score, except "Swan Lake" in the opening credits and a music cue with the opening of Dracula's coffin. If anybody has sourced information, please add it to the article, as I think it would be a POV issue for me to make note of it. MMetro (talk) 21:53, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

When I first got to see this version (on VHS), I preferred the rendition of 'Swan Lake' and appreciated the additional coffin cues. Alas, I'm now told that Universal added those for copyright reasons. Later BD releases are reverted. I still prefer Melford's version to Browning's, but these differences don't contribute anything to the argument! WHPratt (talk) 07:11, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

This article looks great, but i have a few suggestions

In the opening section can you put "In 2015, Dracula was selected for the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

In the production section, i don't think Lupita Tovar CM629.jpg fits the section well. I'd suggest removing it.

Hi. I've added the quote. I feel like the picture of Lupita is good as it's her during the time of release of Dracula. I did something previously on my work I did for The Invisible Man (1933). It's a free image as well, so I don't think it hurts, especially as she was one of the longest surviving members of the cast.Andrzejbanas (talk) 04:15, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Character names in Spanish

I have a DVD copy of Spanish-language Dracula here, and that movie has near the beginning a title card listing the credits, including the Spanish-language character names. I think we ought to use those character names on this page, citing the movie. WP:PRIMARY would seem to allow it, and I have no particular reason to think the title card ingenuine; it looks like it's from the original publication of the film. The most important difference is that Dracula's name is spelled Drácula. (The movie is still spelled "Dracula", though, according to the title title card.) Thoughts, anyone? (I previously discussed this with @Andrzejbanas on my talk page, somewhat inconclusively.) Dingolover6969 (talk) 09:28, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Hello @Dingolover6969:, sorry for the delay. I've made changes per the films opening title card. This included updating certain accents (some name have accents, some do not) and other minor changes (Doctor over Dr.). The most glaring is that Dracula is credited to Carlos Villar opposed to Carlos Villarías. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:17, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
