The Link www.doristroy.com is not leading to anything that has to do with the subject. Can someone remove it please? User987654321 (talk) 17:02, 20 April 2008 (UTC) I Think that the information about Doris Troy is not complete. As a little boy I admired Doris songs: Lazy day's, Stormy Weather, Draw me closer, Dearest Darling,Vaya con Dios, a.s.o. in the late 50thies. I don't see these songs mentioned — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.45.7.33 (talk) 21:16, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Discography

Can we get a discography up in here? http://www.discogs.com/artist/Doris+Troy — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.98.1 (talk) 21:32, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

The most complete discography is likely to be this one - http://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/dtroy.htm Feel free to add it, suitably edited and referenced - no-one is likely to do it for you. This is the encyclopedia anyone can edit - that means you! Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:47, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Whatcha Gonna Do About It

edit

Is Doris Troy's "Whatcha Gonna Do About It" that peaked at #37 in December 1964, the same song as the Small Faces' Whatcha Gonna Do About It? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 09:37, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Apparently not, because this indicates that Doris Troy's song was written by Carroll and Payne, not by the Small Faces. Of course, they may have known the song and used the title. Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:55, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the prompt response. I assume Payne is Doris Payne (Troy) herself, and Carroll is John "Gregory" Carroll (but not the Canadian ice hockey centre!!!). Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 11:45, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Those sound like very reasonable assumptions, given that they had sung together - [1] - but I haven't seen that made explicit anywhere. Ghmyrtle (talk) 13:53, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
